There can be several reasons why your payment is rejected. You can check the following list for the most common reasons:
There is not enough coverage on the card.
Pay attention to whether there are amounts reserved on the account the card is linked to. Since they are usually listed separately you may have less available on the account than there first seemed to be.
The card is not set up for 3D-Secure.
If your card is not connected to 3D-Secure and similar 2-factor approvals for your card type, the payment will fail. You can activate this through your bank if you are unsure whether it is activated on your card.
The card type is not supported by the webshop
Cards such as American Express and other foreign cards are not necessarily supported by our webshop. Dankort, MasterCard, and VISA are all supported.
Timeout or system error
No system is perfect, not even those that handle card payments, so you may also experience a timeout error or other system error. We never withdraw the money until the item is dispatched, so if you shop with Dankort, you can safely try again, as no reservations are made on Dankort.
If you use a Visa or MasterCard Debit card with a reservation function, we recommend that you contact us if the payment fails so that we can check whether there is a reservation. This is so that you do not suddenly have several reservations that must be deleted before you have the money again.
